Organisation and account settings#

Tenpm Uptime has two separate settings pages: Account settings for you personally, and Organisation settings for things every member of your org shares. Both — along with Plan and Billing — are in the menu under your email address in the top right of the navigation bar.

Account settings#

  • Display timezone — timestamps on results and notifications pages show alongside UTC in this timezone. Leave it on Server default to use whatever the server itself is configured with.

  • Change password — requires your current password. Changing it signs out every other browser or device logged into this account; the one you used to make the change stays signed in. If you ever suspect your account is compromised, changing your password is the fastest way to kick out anyone else’s session.

If you sign in with Google, the account has no password to change; this section says so instead. Its security is managed in your Google account.

  • Forgotten your password? You don’t need to be signed in for this — see Signing in.

The Light / Dark switch in the navigation bar is also personal to you: it changes how the app looks for your account and is remembered across browsers.

Organisation settings#

  • Organisation name — shown in the navigation bar and throughout the dashboard. Any member can rename it. (Renaming doesn’t change the address of a public status page.)
  • Members — who’s in the organisation, and, for the owner, inviting people and removing them. See Members and invitations.
  • Public status page — publish a page anyone can view. See Public status page.
  • Shared monitor fleet and Notification channels — covered in Managing monitors and Notification channels respectively.

Plan and billing#

Plan shows what your organisation is limited to and how much of each limit you’re using; Billing is where invoices and payment method will live. Both are covered in Plans and billing.

Switching between organisations#

If your account belongs to more than one organisation — because you were invited to someone else’s, say — a dropdown appears in the navigation bar to switch which one you’re currently viewing. Every page (Dashboard, Checks, Heartbeats, Monitors) shows that organisation’s data only. Switching just changes which org your session is pointed at; it doesn’t affect anyone else.

If you’re not in more than one organisation, no dropdown is shown.
